In the evening, they, along with their supporters, met religious leaders of different faith at Russel Market and requested them to avoid panic-buying on September 30 when the verdict would be made public.
They told the traders and residents that the tradition of peace and harmony, which had been a hallmark of the City and main cause behind City’s growth should be maintained at any cost. They also requested them to inform police on spotting any suspicious element indulged in rumour-mongering. The two leaders asked the shopkeepers to keep their shops open on September 30 too without any fear.
