Belekeri ore case: CID raids 24 export firms

Incriminating documents seized from 15 offices

According to CID officials, these firms had not produced the required documents so far.  The searches were conducted on the basis of search warrants issued by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ankola.

During the raids, many incriminating documents and 14 computer hard discs were seized from the offices of the 15 firms.  Four office premises were found locked and these have been sealed pending searches to be conducted later. With the remaining four premises, either the known address could not be located or such firms did not exist at the known address. The names of the 24 export firms are as follows :

Bangalore City: Rajmahal Steels, Greentex Mining Industries Pvt Ltd, Kothari Products Ltd; Bellary: Zeenat Transport Company, Chandru Associates, Eagle Traders and Logistics,  Eagle - C; Hospet: Arshad Exports, Shalini Impex Export Company, S B Logistics Export Company, Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Minerals, Sri Venkateshwara Transport, Ganesh Minerals, Swastik Steel Ltd, Tungabhadra Mining Pvt Ltd, ILC Industries Ltd; Sandur: VSL Mining Company Pvt Ltd, Vesco; Mangalore: Cauveri Coffee Traders, Deepa Mines and Minerals; Belgaum: SSTA Logistics (India) Pvt Ltd; Yellapura: Dream Logistics Company (India) Pvt Ltd; Hubli: AM World Mining and Exports; Udupi: San Exim.
