Jagadish's arrest leaves BJP red-faced

Mayor S K Nataraj said: “We are yet to get the details of the arrest made by the Lokayukta and only then take further action. It appears to be a recorded conversation.”

Reacting to the arrest of their Party corporator, leader of the ruling party in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Council, Katte Satyanarayana stated that they will toe the line of the Party high command on further course of action.

Clear picture

“We are trying to find out the details of the episode,” said Satyanarayana.

He expected a clearer picture to emerge on the arrest and the future action on Friday.

Jagadish’s arrest, the second of a corporator by Lokayukta police in the recent past, has left the party in the BBMP Council red-faced, particularly it had gone to town on the arrest of Congress corporator Govindaraju from Ganesh Mandir ward who was caught while allegedly accepting bribe from a builder.
