<p>"The quantity of data generated everyday is growing and so the requirement for storage is also going up. In such a condition, storage solutions need to not just efficiently manage data, but also need to help in optimising the workload," IBM India/South Asia Vice President (Storage Systems and Technology Group) Sandeep Dutta told PTI.<br /><br />The product 'IBM Storwize V7000' is designed to manage data flow efficiently and cost effectively and reduce storage rack space, allowing room for clients' future expansion.<br />Dutta said sectors like telecom, media and entertainment along with data-centric projects like UIDAI (Aadhaar) would give further fillip to the demand for storage solutions.</p>.<p>According to research firm IDC, storage market in India is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.8 per cent from 2011-2015.IBM has emerged the leader in the Indian external disk storage market in terms of factory revenue in April-June 2010 quarter with a 26.8 per cent market share, as per IDC's Asia/Pacific Enterprise Disk Storage Tracker (Q2 2010).<br /><br />"While we were No. 1 last year, we continue to maintain our leadership position even in the first half of the year. We constantly focus on product renovation to suit the customer's requirements," he said</p>
