As the name suggests, the corner offers a variety of dosas like Benne Dosa, Kali Dosa and Open Dosa. Apart from these, the outlet also has an array of traditional North Karnataka snacks like Girmittu, Nargese Mandakki, Mandakki Masala and Mirchi items to offer.

H Mahadev, a young entrepreneur, started this eatery eight years ago with the dream of making it big. The hotel is now being moved to a spacious building. “We have been facing a problem with the sitting space. During peak hours, the customers have to stand on the footpath, which causes problems to the pedestrians also. So, we are moving to a new complex situated next to Pooja Prapancha on the same road,” says Mahadev, who will be soon introducing Rotti Oota in his hotel.

“Bangaloreans love North Karnataka meals. The youngsters especially, are great fans of Jolada Rotti and Ennegai Palya. They even like Mandakki items. There is a good demand for traditional meals despite the increase in the number of fast food
outlets,” he feels.

The prices are reasonable too and a plate of Set Dosa comes with three big dosas. Dosas are served with coconut chutney and aloo palya. Another fast-moving item is the Paddu, an authentic North Karnataka food which comes with an aromatic peanut
chutney.

“I have been a regular at this place for years now. I have tasted dosas in many other places in the City but didn’t get the quality and taste that I get here. What makes this shop different from the others is the quality of butter they use. And most of us come here to savour the peanut chutney, which you don’t get in all
hotels,” says Manjunath, an account manager.

The eatery has even been frequented by stars like Duniya Vijay, Srinath, Upendra to name a few.

All these people have savoured the crispy dosas at Mahadev’s shop and have loved its taste.
