“Susan Boyle has had to cancel her performance on Dancing With The Stars as her doctor advised her not to sing due to a severe throat infection. Susan is very upset at letting her fans down. Their continued support means so much to her,” her spokesperson said.

The I Dreamed A Dream hitmaker was supposed to sing her version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah but did not fly from her home in Scotland to Los Angeles on her doctor’s advice. The 49-year-old singer shot to instant international fame after auditioning for the TV show Britain’s Got Talent last year.

Though she did not win the talent hunt, she is now a sought-after artiste with her debut album selling more than ten million copies worldwide.
