<p>Directed by Bangaru, the film she says, was too hard to refuse. “The role I play is that of a classical dancer and when Bangaru sir offered me, I felt like I was being offered my dream role,” says Roopika, who has learnt classical dance for ten years and even won a national award for it.<br /><br />So, the going must have been easy for her? “Not really,” she says and adds, “though I am trained in dance, there were times when I had to match steps with big dancers in the industry which was challenging.”<br /><br />While the actress is currently balancing her work and studies, Roopika says acting is something she always wanted to do. <br /><br />Ask her what kind of roles she is looking forward to and she says, “So far, in my two movies, I got to don different characters and in future I would like to try my hand in experimental roles.”<br /><br />But Roopika says glamourous roles are a complete no-no for her. “I have nothing against glamourous roles but I would rather play a homely girl,” explains Roopika, who looks upto Soundarya as her idol.</p>
