'Ayudha Pooja symbolises harmony'

Speaking after inaugurating the 40th year Ayudha Pooja celebration organised by Vehicle Drivers Association here on Saturday night, Vishwanath said that Ayudha Pooja celebration observed by members of Hindu, Muslim and Christian community in Suntikoppa from past 40 years symbolises harmony.

Presiding over the function, MLA Appachu Ranjan said that the effort of Vehicle Drivers Association to celebrate the festival by bringing people together is a commendable job.

Responding to the request of Association members, Ranjan assured to provide fund for the facelift of Association’s building.

ZP President V M Vijaya called it as a proud thing for Suntikoppa public to celebrate Ayudha Pooja with such grandeur.

ZP member A Lokesh Kumar and farmer D Vinod Shivappa distributed prizes to the winners of light decoration and tableau competitions. District Vehicle Drivers Association President M A Usman, Taluk Panchayat Vice-president Geetha Basappa, Taluk Panchayat members P M Latheef, M K Pemmaih and others were present.
