Bopaiah constituted the committee on a basis of a complaint filed by four BJP MLAs who had petitioned the Speaker, the same evening, seeking disciplinary action against legislators who had created pandemonium inside the House.
BJP MLAs C T Ravi, C N Ashwatharayana, Nandeesh Reddy and B N Vijayakumar had submitted the petition to the Speaker. The complainants have named 15 opposition legislators for creating ruckus in the House on that day.
Other members of the House committee are S R Vishwanath, Siddu Savadi, Maniraju, Sunil Hegde, Rajashekar Basavaraj Patil and Gopal Bhandary.
