PCB stops tainted trio from training at NCA

Last Updated 20 October 2010, 12:03 IST

The Board has already sent letters to the players, saying that they cannot use NCA facilities based at Gaddafi Stadium, before resolution of the spot-fixing scandal, for which the
International Cricket Council had suspended them provisionally.

Pacer duo of Aamir and Asif are not believed to have used the facilities. However, Butt, who recently spoke to reporters from the Academy, had done so, a PCB spokesman told Cricinfo.
The suspension came after a sting operation by British tabloid 'News of the World' alleged that the three players were involved in a spot fixing incident during the Lord's Test against England in August.

The ICC had last week asked the PCB to put its house in order with regards to implementing the anti-corruption measures in home.

Asif, Aamir and Butt have lodged appeals against the ICC's suspension and the hearing will take place in Qatar on October 30 and 31.
