<p>Sources in the Deputy Commissioner’s office, told Deccan Herald that the government has considered seriously the misappropriation wherein additional names were included in the file, which was already closed. A file, which contains 60 names of beneficiaries allegedly included violating rules, will be sent to graphologists for analysis. Action will be taken against the responsible officials, sources said. <br /><br />The government had initiated a process to regularise all encroachments made by landless poor families through verification. <br /><br />However, the Government Land Protection Task Force Chairman Balasubramaniam had found several names in the beneficiaries in the list, who possess land. The Task Force also had mentioned Shringeri MLA D N Jeevaraj’s involvement in the fraud. Opposition had taken the issue seriously and made it a political weapon to fight against Jeevaraj.<br /><br />Responding to the issue, Jeevaraj said that such instances were being reported since 1984. However, he said, “now the opposition leaders are targetting me. I will co-operate with the inquiry.”<br /></p>
