It is said that the paddy was meant for distribution among the farmers and also had the seal of the State Seed Board.
It is learnt that one farmer Suresh who was shifting the bags at the JBR Rice Mill, had passed on the information to the farmer leaders V Ashok and Konasale Narasaraju, who immediately rushed to the spot with the other members.
Tahsildar and authorities concerned visited the spot and seized the bags. The officials clarified that the bags that were stored illegally were the ones meant for distribution to farmers.The stock was seized from the JBR Rice Mill and a case has been registered at the town police station. The investigation is on, he added.
