Classy Federer enters final

The Swiss will meet German Florian Mayer, who beat Finland's Jarkko Nieminen 4-6, 6-4, 7-6, in Sunday's final.

Second seed Victoria Azarenka reached her first Kremlin Cup final with a straight forward 6-3, 6-3 win over Spain's Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez on Saturday.

In Sunday's final, she will face the winner of the second semifinal between sixth seed Maria Kirilenko and her Russian compatriot Vera Dushevina.

Top seeds Rohan Bopanna of India and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan crashed out of the Kremlin Cup doubles quarterfinals with a 4-6, 5-7 loss to Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki.

The win came in 68 minutes on Friday for the Serbians. Bopanna and Qureshi are attempting to qualify for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at London next month.
