Cong prospects not to be affected Rahul's praise for Nitish

"Congress is on firm footing in all the three constituencies where elections will be held and Gandhi's praise will not affect the prospects of party candidates," BPCC president Anil Sharma and Sadhu Yadav, the estranged brother-in-law of RJD chief Lalu Prasad told a press conference on Wednesday.

Sharma and Yadav said "we have no hesitation in admitting that Nitish Kumar is a cultured person and has proved to be a better chief minister than Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi as he believes in clean politics."

Kumar, they claimed, had, however, failed to fullfil the promises made to the people of Bihar during the 2005 assembly elections.

Referring to reported statement of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi that Congress would 'boot out' Sadhu Yadav from the party after the elections, Sharma said "I must make it clear to them that Congress is not a pocket organisation of any RJD leader."

They claimed that the RJD and LJP would have no place in the UPA after its reconstitution with senior party leaders having given enough indication.
