The Karnataka Welfare Association for the Blind had organised the event at Seshadripuram Degree College on Saturday. The visually-challenged had gathered at the occasion with the expectation of some relief measures for them. The Association, however, went ahead with its one-day orientation workshop on measures to enhance capacity building.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Krishna R Hombal said the visually-challenged people do not want mere training to sustain life but want opportunities to reach to the level of administrators and play a pro-active role in building the nation and formulating schemes beneficial for the blind. Visually-challenged teachers were felicitated on the occasion.
