Replying to a query from a medico regarding declining morality among doctors of late, Kalam said they need to imbibe morality. Everybody will be having a good heart but they need to develop the habit of serving needy persons. Need of the hour was to create a new system before becoming a part of society after passing out the engineering or the medicine studies. They have to understand the requirements of the society and involve in research activities”.

The former president said for any reason, nobody would do that to belittle the image of their profession. On this occasion, he gave an oath to the medicos that they would treat patients with little cost and not burden them by prescribing hundreds of medical tests unnecessarily.

Dr Kalam also donated several books to the library.

HIMS Director Dr Gangadhar, Deputy Commissioner Naveenraj Singh, Assistant Commissioner Karigowda, Tahsildar Nagaraj and others were present.

In Sakleshpur, former president, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on Friday took an oath from students that daily they would do a work that would bring happiness to  mother, after going back home.

The institutions become great with good character and dedicated teachers.  Teaching is a noble profession. Only then educational institutions become great”.
