Joshi said that during the last three years Congress has raised the issues like corruption, "poor" law and order situation in the state and alleged diversion of central funds.
The party would during the next 12 to 14 months would raise issues of public grievances and prepare for an alternative to the Mayawati government.
"I shall also try to justify the confidence the high command has reposed in me", she said when asked about her future plans for revamping Congress in the state after being given a fresh term as PCC chief.
About objections raised by the UP government to Rahul Gandhi’s recent train journey from Gorakhpur to Mumbai without informing the state, Joshi said "the SPG is considered to the be best force in the country. How can we expect this state government to protect anyone since it could not protect its minister Nand Kumar Gupta Nandi.
"Mr Nandi was attacked in broad day light in Allahabad", she said.
"Rahul by his recent journey by train in sleeper class has shown that public grievances can be sorted out without any pomp and show", she said.
"While law and order situation in the state is at its worst, the funds sent by the Centre are being diverted for construction of idols," she alleged.
Joshi said the second round of Congress Yatra would be flagged off by party President Sonia Gandhi.
