"All the next generation aircraft engines manufactured by General Electricals (GE) will be maintained at Nagpur workshop in the Multi Modal International Passenger and Cargo Hub (MIHAN) in the city," Patel told reporters yesterday on the sidelines of an event here.
He said that aircraft manufacturing major Boeing will perform the groundbreaking ceremony of their proposed Maintenance Overhaul Repair (MRO) facilities in December. The Tata group has already set up a unit which was engaged in manufacturing structural frames of Boeing aircraft in Mihan.
Patel, alongwith BJP National President Nitin Gadkari and Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda, were invited to the city for discussion on Development of Vidarbha region-2020, including creation of a separate state of Vidarbha.
