Jacko spent a bomb on drugs

Pop legend Michael Jackson was battling with numerous disorders and was spending £30,000 ($50,000) a month on prescription drugs like narcotic pain relievers, muscle relaxants and anti-depressants before his death.

The ailing Thriller star was said to have consumed “mountains of medication” as he battled numerous disorders in the year leading up to his death.
Along with narcotic pain reliever Vicodin, Jackson took other drugs like muscle relaxant Soma and sedative Xanax, antidepressant Zoloft, anti-anxiety drug Paxil and heartburn pill Priolosec.

The revelations on the true scale of the tragic star’s pills habit came as his family said they now wanted an investigation into the quantity of drugs he was prescribed.
“They suspected the drugs were harming Michael — but not as badly as this. What is crucial to them is not the drug types Michael was taking, but the quantities he was taking them in,” said Brian Oxman, the Jackson’s family lawyer.

“This is a huge and major concern. During Michael’s court trial he was taking 40 Vicodin a day — and this may have even increased. It’s an insane amount of drugs to be given and to be taken,” added Oxman. 

Some of the King of Pop’s prescriptions were allegedly written by his Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein. Most were taken from Jackson’s local drug store Mickey Fine Pharmacy.

The photographs of Jackson’s last rehearsal, taken just 48 hours before his death, show the pop star in great spirit.

The pictures, thought to be the last photographs of the 50-year-old star, show Jackson rehearsing for his comeback tour at London’s O2 Arena.

The ‘This Is It’ lighting display is behind him as he pulls off an impressive high-energy routine in Los Angeles, The Sun online reported.

A source who was present during Jackson’s final rehearsal in Los Angeles said: “Michael was in better form than for years. He was preparing for what would have been an absolutely incredible show.

Mother gets children’s custody

Michael Jackson’s mother has gained temporary custody of his three children amid reports that the pop star has left a will, which excludes his father from his property, PTI reports. Jackson’s mother was granted the temporary custody of the three children.

Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two elder kids, is expected to claim more access to her children. There is also the possibility that the mother of Jackson’s youngest child may emerge to reclaim the boy. Though Katherine said the pop star died without a will, a new lawyer of Jackson came forward claiming that the singer left a will.
