MEG were in their elements as they drubbed CIL 25-13, 25-20, 25-13. Sumesh and Jince Varghese were  in great touch winning many a point between them. The duo, along with Jishad, proved to be a thorn in CIL’s flesh as MEG maintained their lead all through the first set.  The second set saw a fightback from CIL as they took a slender lead initially. But MEG wasted no time in coming back into the game,  wrapping up the set 25-20. The third set was again dominated by MEG as they raced to a 10-4 lead before the first time out. MEG finally finished the proceedings winning the set 25-13. In the second semifinal, JSW defeated South Western Railway 25-18, 25-20, 25-23. JSW romped through the first set with Vishwanath playing a major role. The second set was a repeat of the first with SWR providing resistance a little too late. The third set was a nail-biter with Imtiaz propping things up for SWR. At one stage both teams were level at 19-19, but JSW kept their nerve to win 25-23.

Results: Semifinals: Men: MEG bt CIL: 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-13); JSW bt SWR: 3-0 (25-18,25-20, 25-23)
