Dressed in her navy blue school uniform, a school student who will get an opportunity to meet Obama, said: "I am really excited to meet the US president and his wife. We will be performing two dances for him and then give a presentation on global warming."

One of the dance shows will be a 'diya' dance, with Diwali as the theme while the other will see eight students performing the Koli dance, a folk dance of fishermen community of Maharashtra.

The entire programme is expected to last 30 minutes.

Obama, who arrived in Mumbai Saturday, stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace and Towers hotel and will head to New Delhi later in the day.

Another student of the school, who is involved in the global warming presentation, said: "The aim of the presentation is to highlight the steps taken and ought to be taken by the US, India and the entire world to battle global warming".

The students also have some questions ready for the US president.

"I would want to know what major change does Obama want to bring about in the world. Another friend of mine wants to ask him who or what is his source of inspiration," a student said.

After the school event, Obama is scheduled to meet students at St. Xavier's college. He will leave the country early Tuesday.
