JOIN USJD(S) to boycott saree distribution
Addressing media in Hassan, he told that MLAs of the district irrespective of parties would not participate in the function and a silent protest will be staged in front of the Chief Minister at the venue near District Stadium.
A decision in this connection has been taken at the meeting attended by the legislators of the district, held in Hassan on Tuesday.
He came down heavily on Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and District In-charge V Sommana for not fulfiling the promise he made at the district level progress review meeting held on Monday. Infact, the minister promised to fulfil some of the demands by Tuesday evening.
But so far, he is yet to announce and failed to keep the promise he made to people of the district.
The activists of the party from all taluk units, former MLAs and other elected representatives will be participating in the silent protest.
He alleged that CM is distributing sarees to Bhagyalakshmi beneficiaries only to woo the voters for the forthcoming Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections.
MLAs H S Prakash, Shivalingegowa, H K Kumaraswamy, C S Puttegowdwa, former MLA A T Ramaswamy, H M Vishwanath, District JD(S) president H K Javaregowda and others were present at the meet.
