JOIN USDevi’s 36-year-old paramour identified as Raghunath Reddy has been arrested from Kasavanahalli. Devi was smothered to death on Sunday night.
According to the police, Devi and Raghunath hail from the same village in Andhra Pradesh.
Her husband died a couple of months ago and she shifted her residence to Mangamanapalya with the help of Raghunath.
Raghunath, a real estate agent, used to help Devi financially. Everything was fine between them until Raghunath found her with other men in the locality. This rattled him and the duo used to quarrel often. On Sunday night too they had a fight and on Monday morning she was found dead, police added. “We collected vital information about the accused from the neighbours and managed to arrest him,” police said.
Devi’s three children are staying in Andhra Pradesh after the death of their father. Devi was working in a garment factory, added the police.
