The award carries Rs 25,000 and a citation. The award will be distributed to the awardees in the public function on Children’s Day at Balabhavan, Cubbon Park, Bangalore.
Baburaj has been working in the area of child welfare for the past 10 years. He has worked as National Program Coordinator of Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL) and Project Director of International Labour Organisation (ILO) project on child labour elimination in Chamarajanagar district.
He served as a member of District Child Welfare Committee in Mysore. Presently, he has been appointed as a member of Juvenile Justice Board, Mysore under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2000.
