The CPM, a key ally of the AIADMK, on Sunday rejected Jayalalitha’s offer of support to the UPA in the event of the DMK withdrawing support. Party state secretary G Ramakrishnan said the AIADMK’s about-turn would be contradictory to the Left parties’ sustained campaigns to fight the “anti-people policies” of the Centre.
