Teachers add colour to Children's Day celebrations

Addressing the audience, Soumya stressed on the need to remember Jawaharlal Nehru’s message that provides children with a face and loving environment to grow as well.
She said that children must be given ample and equal opportunity through which they can make great strides and contribute to the progress of the country.

Commenting on the values needed among children, Harshita urged for the need to inculcate moral values and learn to combine qualities such as respect for elders and self-discipline.

She said that we should work for the conservation of our resources and take simple measures to protect the environment.

Mahajana School

Mahajana School children participated in Children's Day function organised by SBRR Mahajana First Grade College in the city recently.  

Soft Skills trainer Geetha asked the children to focus on 3 D's - Direction, Determination and Dedication to succeed in life.  'Home Alone' movie was screened.  Earlier, tributes were offered to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his Birth Anniversary.  

Director of AGEE's English Learning Academy, Anand Ram, Principal Prof K V Prabhakara,  Head of the Department, Criminology and Forensic Science, Prof G B Aravind attended the programme.

Aquatic meet

Rotary Mysore in association with Mysore District Swimming Association as part of children’s day had conducted Rotary aquatic meet 2010 at University of Mysore University Swimming Pool, Saraswathipuram.

As many as 129 students from different schools from Mysore and Mandya participated in the meet.

Inaugurating the meet, Chairman of Chaitra PU College, Gururaj said that every youngster participating  in the meet should develop the spirit of sportsmanship.
Furthemore he advised students to not lose heart if they lose. Instead  they should congratulate the winner and work towards winning in the next meet.

President of Rotary Mysore, Venkatraman K G, Director, Community Service of Rotary Mysore, Sridhar and Secretary, Mysore District Swimming Association Nabhiraj were present.
