CM's inaugural spree meets long standing demands

Projects include inauguration of PU College building built at the cost of Rs 45 lakh at Napoklu, foundation stone for Kodava Heritage Centre in Madikeri at the cost of Rs 145 lakh, foundation stone for Suvarna Karnataka Samskrithika Samucchaya at the cost of Rs 195 lakh in Madikeri,  foundation stone for Mini Vidhan Soudha at Virajpet being built at the cost of Rs two crore, foundation stone for ITI College at Ponnampet which will be built at the cost of Rs two crore, development of Bethri-Hemmadu-Parane road at the cost of Rs 95 lakh in Virajpet.

28 roads

The CM laid foundation stone for the development of 28 roads at the cost of Rs 15 crore under Kodagu Special Package, foundation for the development of Kikkarahalli-Kudiganahalli road at the cost of Rs 90 lakh in Somwarpet taluk, foundation stone for development of rural roads to be undertaken by the Zilla Panchayat.

Foundations were also laid by the Chief Minister to Zilla Panchayat building at the cost of Rs one crore, Pre metric boys hostel building to be constructed at the cost of Rs 195 lakh,  post metric hostel for girls at the cost of Rs 65 lakh at Palibetta, staff quarters of Basavanahalli Morarji Desai Residential School at the cost of Rs 2.5 crore, Morarji Desai Residential school for minorities in 25.26 acre at the cost of Rs 482.72 lakh, anganwadi buildings at the cost of Rs 26.25 lakh at various places in the district.

He also laid foundation stone for development works worth Rs three crore under Chief Minister’s Small and Medium Town Development Scheme in Madikeri CMC limits.
