JOIN USChief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s sister B S Prema managed to get a 60 ft by 40 ft site in HSR Layout. She reportedly paid a mere Rs 5.16 lakh for the plot under the chief minister’s discretionary quota (G category).
Yet, Prema aka Premamma, it is learnt, is not satisfied with the plush property. According to sources in the Bangalore Development Authority, she wishes to live next to her brother Yeddyurappa’s residence at RMV Extension.
The place where Premamma opted for a site is the same venue where the BDA rendered hundreds of people homeless on a rainy night in May this year through its anti-encroachment drive to recover its property.
Documents in Deccan Herald’s possession show that Premamma, who was living with her son S C Ashok at his own house, got the site at HSR Layout for a throwaway price on March 4, 2010. Two months later, Ashok got a 60 ft by 40 ft site at Chandra Layout.
Adjacent to Ashok’s site, Premamma’s daughter-in-law Deepa, too, was allotted a piece of land. Both the sites were allotted in May this year under ‘G’ category.
As per law, a person is not entitled to a site under ‘G’ category if any of his / her family members are already in possession of a property in the City.
