6-yr-old boy suffers injuries after being caned by teacher

The victim, a UKG student of Vidyarohini Public School in Buttayagudem, suffered injuries on his back after being allegedly caned by his teacher for tearing notebooks of other students, they said.

He was taken to a local hospital where he underwent treatment and was later discharged, police said.

Based on the complaint filed by the boy's parents, the teacher has been arrested, they said adding that a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
