Though it could be officially explained that the visit is meant for Stalin's participation in the Sathya Sai University's convocation on Monday and in the 85th birthday celebrations of the god-man on Tuesday, as well as for seeking assistance for the reclamation of the Cooum River in Chennai from the 'Sri Sathya Sai Trust', the spectrum scam haunting the ruling establishment here will not be easily lost sight of in the political circles.
While the Tamil Nadu government is also beholden to the 'Sri Sathya Sai Trust' which substantially funded the lining of the Krishna water canal from Kandaleru reservoir in Andhra Pradesh to Poondy reservoir on Chennai's outskirts some years ago, the DMK's leading lights, who once took pride in their atheism, are increasingly turning to spiritual 'Gurus'.
