The problems of the village came to fore, when the DC visited D B Kuppe, which lies on the H D Kote - Manandavady Road, recently.<br /><br />Having interacted with the villagers, the DC said that the residents, who had left the forest had been denied of basic facilities. <br /><br />It also come to light that even though 400 persons have applied for title deeds, the inspection carried out to grant them the deeds has been far from satisfactory. <br /><br />He asked officials to submit a detailed report about the number of people who have applied for a title deed and the number of people to whom it has been granted. With the road being blocked from 6 pm to 6 am, the problems faced by the villagers has to be reviewed, he said. Also the grama panchayat has failed to take up any development programmes.<br /><br />He said that D B Kuppe is facing a crisis for drinking water and also a shortage of electricity.<br />Even the existing lift irrigation project has failed in the village. Gupta demanded details of action taken by KPTCL to solve the electricity problems of the village. <br /><br />Furthermore, he has demanded a reason from the education department for the lack of teachers in the village school. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr C J Betsurmutt, ATS Training Officer Priyanka Mary Francis, Assistant Commissioner Bharathi and Lingamurthy were present.<br /></p>
