Datta Jayanthi rituals will be held at Bababudangiri on December 18. According to sources, the government has taken initiatives to repair the ceiling of the cave for the convenience of devotees, who are expected to throng the shrine for festival.

Sangha Parivar activists have already insisted the government to provide opportunity for ‘Paduke Darshana’ for Datta Jayanthi and also to carry out repair works of the cave.

Following this, the government has taken up the work and directed the contractors to complete the works before December 15.

CM to visit ?

It is also said that the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa himself may visit the shrine and check the caves.

The district administration is planning to construct a helipad at Bababudangiri hills.

However, an official tour programme of the Chief Minister has not reached the district administration. Sources said that the Office of the Chief Minister have already communicated about Yeddyurappa’s visit.
