The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has alleged that the government has failed to maintain law and order in the State. They demanded that the government, which was responsible for the death of a backward community leader Vijayakumar at Harihar and death of a pedestrian Aithappa in a police shoot out at Dharmastala, should be dissolved immediately.

BSP district president K T Radhakrishna urged the governor, in a memorandum submitted through the deputy commissioner’s office, that an inquiry should be initiated into the death of Vijayakumar and Aithappa. Those who were involved in the political clash which led to Vijayakumar’s death should be punished, he demanded.

He said that the governor should dissolve the State government which had failed to maintain law and order in the State.

BSP State Secretary P Velayudhan, district general secretary G K Basavaraj and secretary P Parameshwara were present.
