The Chief Minister ordered a CoD investigation into tenders floated by H D Devegowda. An order should also be issued to investigate Bhadra project, he said.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the Government had issued a tender for ` 550 crores in 2006. But, the project ended up with a total funding of ` 1038 crores when it was completed.

Yeddyurappa, who was the finance minister then released the amount against the recommendations made by the advocate general and the upper Thunga project committee not to fund such huge amount to the project.

He welcomed investigation into matters of his family assets and properties and land notifications in Hassan and added that Chief Minister should order the same in Shimoga. If the Chief Minister wants to come to Hassan and Holenarasipur to unearth any cases against us, we would give him a rousing reception, he ridiculed.

He also accused the Chief Minister’s political secretary B J Puttaswamy embezzling funds in various government financial institutions like SFC, KSSIDC to the tune of ` eight crore.
