He was speaking at a campaign ‘Dislodge corrupt BJP and save democracy’ in the city on Wednesday.

Reddy took a dig at Yeddyurappa, “who claims that the BJP government would achieve more in its five-year rule than Congress governments which ruled for over half a century.”
Yeddyurappa has never shown interest in giving a pro-people government and retained his chair through blackmail tactics, the CPM leader said.

Seers’ support criticised

Reddy questioned as to why Yeddyurappa was hiding his misdeeds and scams, while threatening to expose the scams indulged in by leaders of opposition parties.

He also criticised the seers of various mutts who were supporting Yeddyurappa and wanted him to continue in office, despite mounting allegations against him.

Reddy said that many leaders, including Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, were involved in corruption and added that the minister, instead of allotting sites for the poor, had given sites for his family members.

Comprehensive inquiry

The former MLA wanted a comprehensive enquiry into all scams during the  tenure of the BJP government.

CITU district unit president Siddagangappa, CPM Bagepalli taluk unit secretary Venkataswamy and others were present.

Bundh on Dec 9

The CPM has called for a statewide bundh in protest against the BJP government on December 9.

The ‘Dislodge corrupt BJP and save democracy’ campaign will be held from December 2 to 10.

Conventions will be held at the taluk and district levels where various party leaders will address the people.

Pro-people organisations and the public have been requested to take part in the campaign.
