A special police team from North East Division arrested Radhakrishna Shenoy (30) of Jayanagar, M Rasheed (28) of Kengeri, Mani (29) of Vidyaranyapura, Manu (34) of Maddur (Mandya), Rohit (24) of Madikeri and Satish (31) of Boopasandra. Nine others in the case are still at large.

Shenoy is the prime suspect. He along with his accomplices Manu, Yusuf and Lohit would lure gullible young men with the help of a few sex workers.

The gang would make arrangements for the young men to spend time with the sex workers at a layout near the airport. Soon, Shenoy, would barge inside with his associates posing as policemen or journalists.

The gang also used to photograph and videograph the gullible youth in a bid to extort money from them. The gang members used to threaten them of releasing the photos and videos to the media in case they failed to cough up money.

A complaint was lodged with the Bengaluru International Airport police station.
