Builder encroaches on SWD

Chairperson H Ravindra and the members on Saturday inspected the area and found that the major SWD  near a railway overbridge was diverted.

A five-foot-wide road on the front of the building towards Rajkumar Road was blocked and a compound wall was constructed. On the directions of the Committee, the drain was dug up. The members learnt that there are 1,250 flats and shops in the multi-storeyed apartment.

On inquiry, the Committee members came to know that the firm did not have permission from the Palike. Ravindra said he would bring the irregularities to the notice of Mayor S K Nataraj and Palike Commissioner Siddaiah.
