CBI Special Judge Anupam Shrivastava also imposed a fine of Rs 6000 on him. A team of CBI had caught Sharma red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2000 in 2007 and a case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 was registered against him.
Sharma had accepted the bribe from director of Electrical Shop Vipin Jain at his office. Sharma had demanded and accepted the bribe from Jain for recommending empanelling Jain's firm as an electrical contractor.
