Speaking after inaugurating taluk-level JD(S) workers’ convention at Somwarpet here on Monday, he said “no one can prevent re-election in the state. If JD(S) becomes strong in Kodagu, then JD(S) will come to power in the state. M C Nanaiah and B A Jeevijaya will become ministers.”

“B S Yeddyurappa is the most corrupt Chief Minister, the state ever saw in the last fifty years. Yeddyurappa is a liar. He has illegally deposited money in the name of his kins and is involved in land scam. By acquiring land and distributing it among his kins, he has done injustice to the people of the state,” he added. “I have not seen a Chief Minister who has openly asked the people to pardon him for having involved in land scam. The voters of the state will not forgive him,” Revanna said.

He said: “The BJP government has looted the state treasury. The government do not have money to carry out the development works in the state. The flood victims are suffering in North Karnataka owing to the non distribution of the compensation. Even Kodagu district has not seen any development in the last two years,” he added.

MLC M C Nanaiah alleged that the BJP government is involved in corruption and scams. “JD(S) will get the support of the people in the forthcoming election. The party workers should strengthen the party in the grassroot level.

Without getting majority, the BJP tried to get majority through Operation Kamala in the last Assembly election,” he added. “Yeddyurappa has the credit of taking Karnataka to the national level in corruption. JD(S) has submitted 78 cases related to land scam by the Chief Minister and his family members to the Lokayukta,” he said.

Former minister B A Jeevijaya said “the hard earned money of the farmers are being distributed to the mutts. The farmers will curse Yeddyurappa.”
