The departed leader was given a three-round gun salute. <br /><br />Earlier, the body arrived in Chamarajanagar from Bangalore via Mysore. Later, it was taken to Mariyala. <br /><br />Tributes paid<br /><br />People lined up on either sides of the roads to pay their last respects. District incharge Minister M P Renukacharya and Minister V Somanna represented the government at the funeral and offered floral tributes to the departed leader. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, MP R Dhruvanarayan, MLA V Sreenivasa Prasad and others were present. <br /></p>
