<p>In a tragic incident three of the four boys who went swim in a tank near Kaarahalli in Bangarpet, drowned on Wednesday. <br /><br />All the boys had arrived with their parents to attend their grandmother’s funeral.<br /><br />The boys are identified as Afreed Baig (12), son of Peer Baig, a resident of Mugabalu village near Bangalore; Rehmatulla Sharief (11), a resident of Bommanahalli on Hosur road and Shohit Khan (13), a resident of Singanuru in Hosakote taluk.<br /><br />After attending their grandmother’s funeral the boys decided to swim in the nearby tank. <br />Off the four boys, one returned shore while other three swam to the middle of the tank.<br /><br />But to due the quicksand the boys couldn’t make it to the shore and drowned.<br /><br />As soon as the news reached local police they availed the services of fire brigade personnel from Kolar Gold Fields. After one hour search operations fire brigade personnels- Jayaram Singh, Manjunath, Satish, Povappa and Charan retrieved the bodies.<br /><br />The bodies were sent for the post mortem. Based on the complaint filed by the parents of the boys, a case was registered by the Sub-Inspector C B Shivaswamy.<br /><br />Circle Inspector G Keshavamurthy and Fire Brigade officer Basava Prabhu Shrama visited the spot.</p>
