The chopper caught fire as it crash landed.
Pilots S P S Brar and and M S Brar walked away from the wreckage and suffered minor scratches. They were provided first aid on the spot.
The chopper was under repair and the pilots attempted a sortie to know if it was finally fit for flying.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an inquiry into the accident. The DGCA has also dispatched a team to Chandigarh.
