'Pak should curb terror'

During his parleys with Wen, Singh stressed on the need to combat terrorism for the sake of peace and stability in the region. The joint communique issued after the Singh-Wen meet underscored the two countries’ opposition to terrorism in all its manifestations and stressed that nothing could justify the menace.

India and China also “committed themselves to countering terrorism through joint efforts including disrupting the financing of terrorism”.

“They also recognised the need to implement all relevant UN resolutions, in particular the UNSC– 1267, 1373, 1540 and 1624,” read the   communique.
