Announcing this at a press conference on Thursday at the Lakeview Guest House here before leaving for New Delhi, Justice Srikrishna appealed to all political parties and other stake holders to ensure peace and law and order irrespective of the outcome of the report. “State is bigger than the party but nation is bigger than the state,” he said.
Earlier, V K Duggal, secretary of the five-member committee, said the team met the Governor, chief minister, DGP, chief secretary, and other political leaders for a final round of interaction in the last couple of days. He said the report is in its final shape and hoped that it will reflect the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
The committee arrived from the national capital this week for winding up their final round of interaction as part of their terms of reference by the Union Home Ministry.
Justice Srikrishna said they were happy to elicit a clear opinion on the subject from many stake holders, including the common man, over a period of 10 months. “We will ensure that everyone’s views are properly reported and recorded,” he said.
