Addressing a news conference here on Friday, Chairman of All Karnataka Folklore Artists Federation Veeresh Bellary said the ‘nadoja’ awardees would be feted with the prestigious ‘janapada Siri’ awards. A souvenir on ‘Dharage Doddavaru’ brought out on this occasion, would be released. The two- day conference will deliberate on various issues confronting the folklore field and folklore artists.
The registration fee is Rs 150 for every delegate, he added.
Sectoral magistrates
The district administration has appointed sectoral magistrates in all the taluks to ensure smooth and peaceful polling of taluk and zilla panchayats.
As many as 17 are appointed for Chamarajanagar taluk, 12 in Kollegal taluk, 12 in Gunlupet taluk and four in Yalandur taluk.
