Naziabhanu, a resident of Yattagadahalli Road in Mandya taluk, delivered a baby in the early hours of Friday, and subsequently died of heavy bleeding. Her relatives contended that the duty doctors did not treat her and she died later.
They also demanded stern action against the doctors concerned.
Tension prevailed in the hospital premises for sometime. On the receipt of information, police arrived at the spot and convinced the doctors to pay compensation. Following the assurance, the agitators called off their stir.
In-charge Medical Superintendent Dr Shivakumar and Deputy Superintendent of Police Chennabasavanna visited the spot.
