Accenture bags 42-month contract from Nagaland government

Last Updated 20 December 2010, 10:08 IST

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will execute and manage the state's portal, state service delivery gateway and e-forms for facilitating the delivery of services offered by multiple government departments, Accenture said in a statement.

The project is expected to begin in January 2011, it added. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The portal will be a 'one-stop shop', where citizens can perform transactions online -- from placing requests for birth and domicile certificates to getting information on the state or upcoming events -- with speed and efficiency anytime of the day.

"The implementation of the Nagaland state portal will make most government services readily accessible to citizens and it will ensure the transparency and reliability of information," Krishna GV Giri, who leads Accenture's Management Consulting practice in the Health and Public Service operating group for the Asia Pacific region said.
