The CBI officials arrived at her Chhattarpur farmhouse in the morning and continued questioning till 2 pm.

The agency on Monday had quizzed former Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Chairman Pradeep Baijal who worked in one of the Radia’s public relations firm. Raja has already been served with a summon notice by the CBI.

A thousand conversations

Radia has figured in over a thousand  conversations taped by Central Board of Direct Tax (CBDT), investigation, from 2007 to 2008 and thereafter until August 2009.

The investigating agency had earlier during this month raided the  premises of  Raja, Radia, Baijal and their associates. Searches were carried at Radia’s residence and her firm, Vaishnavi Communications, in New Delhi. The controversial lobbyist was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate last month about allocation of the 2G Spectrum to some telecom players.

The leaked taped conversation between Radia and several top  businessmen, influential corporate individuals and scribes provide evidence of a cut-throat lobbying for contracts, deals and fixing of cabinet berths in the UPA-2 in 2009.
