The market is seen moving towards high voltage transformers said Universal Power Managing Director Dhruva Talwalkar. Owing to deficiency in product range, especially in high voltage transformers, the company was on look out for tie-up with parties to develop high voltage transformers.  The collaboration will strengthen the product portfolio to enable manufcture transformers for high-end applications in power segment, he added. To enhance capacity, the company intends to invest Rs 20 crore in the first phase establishing a new facility at its manufacturing unit in Haridwar, and also set up a larger facility in Pune within next two years.
