Last Updated 23 December 2010, 16:05 IST

Having missed the last match against Pune FC due to double booking, Zirsangha made a superb comeback striking the match-winning goal at the stroke of halftime as Chirag returned to winning ways after two consecutive draws.

Chirag moved one place up in the table to be on sixth position with eight points from five matches while HASC lost one place to be on sixth position with seven points.

With Denson Devadas, Arnab Mondal and Zirsangha back in the line-up, Chirag looked a formidable outfit and did not allow HASC to dictate terms.

Zirsangha found the net after man-of-the-match Lalkamal Bhowmick laid one for the surging former Dempo midfielder.

Meanwhile, an injury time goal by Odafe Okolie helped Churchill Brothers snatch a point against Viva Kerala at the Nehru stadium.

Viva Kerala took the lead in the 15th minute through striker Felix Chimaokwu. Churchill were awarded a penalty in the stoppage time which Odafe Okolie converted easily.

Mohun Bagan returned to winning ways when they defeated JCT 1-0 at the Guru Nanak stadium. Manish Maithani scored the all-important goal in the 67 minute of the match.
Debutants ONGC’s search for their maiden win continued after Pune FC rallied from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw.

ONGC surged ahead through ND Opara in the 28th minute. Mandjou Keita equalised for Pune FC in the 88th minute.
